Sweet Suggestions brings a childhood memory to life for your spectators

Sweet Suggestions is a new concept in mentalism. You can bring a childhood memory to life for your spectators. What starts as a simple childhood tale becomes a powerful moment of magic when reality kicks in.

Here's what happens:

You tell a tale of going to the seaside when you were a child and begin to recall all of the sights and sounds. You paint a picture of all the sweet carts and stores and all of the smells associated with these kinds of places.

You then ask your spectators to think of a time they had been to a place like this and ask them to start naming some of the sweets and foods you would eat. As they name some foods you ask them to focus on one of them for example a doughnut or candy floss. Ask them to close their eyes and really imagine they were back there and that they had the snack in their hand. Ask them to imagine eating the snack and then to do the thing we all do at the end of eating something sweet like a doughnut, to lick their fingers to clean all the sugar off. When the spectators do this the actually TASTE THE SWEETNESS! That is right, they taste the sweetness on their own finger, just as if their imagination had caused them to manifest their thoughts into reality!

Sweet Suggestions uses one of the most important factors in our life"..... Food, so by using a childhood memory and Jimmy's devious and off the wall methodology, you can create a moment that will last a lifetime for your spectators.

With no prior engagement with your spectators you can literally walk up to a stranger who you have never met before and perform Sweet Suggestions.

A selected and signed card is lost in the deck. A spectator chooses a balloon and the magician holds it in his open hand. The magician slams the deck against the balloon and the deck literally becomes "sucked" into the balloon! The balloon is blown up and the cards are shuffled around inside. The magician now pinches the selected card through the wall of the balloon and visibly pulls it through to the outside! The balloon with cards and the signed selection are immediately given out as souvenirs of this truly remarkable magic experience!

A self-working, powerhouse poker trick that plays HUGE!

Tom Dobrowolski's BIG FOUR POKER is an absolute powerhouse of a magic trick. Completely self working, hugely involving for one spectator, a small group or even a full stage performance and ending with a climax that is as hilarious as it is shocking. Steve Pellegrino - Timeless Billet Box

The Open Billet Box created a lot of positive buzz in the mentalism community when it was released and mentalists around the world are using this effect. Now Steve Pellegrino has created a new billet box designed for more intimate performances using a different method.

The Open Billet Box has a large capacity and is ideal for large audiences, however is overkill for smaller groups. This new design uses a different box and can comfortably hold approximately 60 billets, 30 audience billets and 30 switch billets. The Open Billet Box needs a very specific box to work and the new Timeless Billet Box is more flexible, so you have more options when choosing a box.

The Timeless Billet Box is a small wood box with a lid that spectators drop their billets into. The box is open when the billets are dropped in and without having to call attention to it, is obviously empty. After the spectators drop their billets in, the switch only takes a moment and a spectator can reach in and remove any billet they want.

Novel Effects with a Gumball Machine by Devin Knight

This is one of the most novel ways ever devised for doing both mental and card effects. Devin Knight shows you how to buy a gumball machine bank and gimmick it in a few minutes to allow for some of the most baffling poker demonstrations and card effects ever devised. These are regular gumball banks that sell in toy stores for around $10 to $20.

Gumballs are marked with card values from A to K using a fine-tip Sharpie. Once this is done, you have everything you need to create miracles.

Sleights appear impossible as the hole cards come from the machine, and the hands to play are freely chosen by the spectators.

Effect #1: IMPOSSIBLE POKER DEMONSTRATION

A spectator shuffles cards. Either the magician or the spectator deals out 3 poker hands face down. Spectator is given a free choice of any hand (NO FORCE OF ANY KIND). He then turns the hand over and is asked to play by discarding any card (as he would in draw poker). Magician states that instead of the deck, the person will put a quarter in the gumball machine, and the value on the gumball will be his HOLE CARD.

He asks the spectator what would be the best card he could get. Say the spectator says "four". He puts a quarter in the machine and turns it, and out comes a gumball with a 4 on it, giving him the winning hand he needs!

IMMEDIATELY you gather the cards and deal 3 more poker hands. The person is AGAIN given a free choice of any hand to play, discards what he doesn't want, and once again inserts a quarter into the gumball machine.

Yes, the value on the gumball that comes out is what he needs the most to have the best winning hand possible! Magician never touches the gumball machine during the trick, and the selection of what hand to play is a totally FREE choice with NO FORCES of any kind.

TWO KILLER ENDINGS ARE POSSIBLE FOR A CLIMAX

1 - Spectator gathers up the cards and shuffles them. The magician NEVER TOUCHES the cards at any time. The person selects a card (no force of any kind) while the deck is in their hand. He then cuts and loses the card in the deck. Magician asks the person the total of the values on the two gumballs that came out at random. Say they total 12. The person counts down 12 cards and there is the very card he selected!

Remember the magician never touches the deck, and the person really shuffles the deck, yet the gumballs locate the card they freely selected. This routine will fool seasoned magicians.

2 - The 2nd possible ending. A sealed JACKPOT envelope is given to the person to hold BEFORE the poker deal effect. The cards are gathered up, and the person is asked to select a card in a fair manner based on the values of the gumballs. They are given a FREE choice in how the card is selected. You point out that if they do things differently a different card will turn up.

Magician NEVER touches the cards. The spectator turns over the card he selected and it matches the card in the envelope. He removes the card, not you. No switches, no extra cards in the deck. Once again this will fry seasoned magicians.

Many other effects are explained using only cards and gumballs. A person names a two-digit number and inserts two quarters into the machine. Two gumballs come out with the same number. Devin gives you a fool proof method that is 100% surefire.

Who is he?

Axel Hecklau - Destiny - It´s Your Choice

A destiny card is freely choosen and drawn in a piece of paper. The spectator shuffles his card into the deck by himself.

Then it follows a funny procedure of elemination. The spectator throws several times half of the cards into the air.

The raining cards are funny and create a "big picture" on stage.

At the end 2-3 cards are left from which the spectator clearly selects one card (no classic equivoque) . Now everybody expects the previous selected card (since you are a magician and you know how you can do something like this)

But life is full of surprise - it´s a totally different card. Of course - because all the spectators decisions where totally free.

But at the end everything comes the other way. Without having touched the paper now it shows the last card you hold in your hands.

The Favorite Cards of My Friends by Rafael Benatar

An incredible effect that allows you to find two spectators' cards in the most impossible way.

1. Someone names a card.
2. Another names a different card.
3. And a third person inserts a playing card ANYWHERE in the deck

4. When the deck is spread, the inserted card is found right between the two other named cards

The named cards are not forced. The spectator really can put the card anywhere in the deck and it will be found next to the named cards every time.

An excellent trick to use as an opener. It gets multiple people involved and the outcome is completely impossible. Best of all it has a method that will make you smile when you realize how such an astonishing effect can be accomplished so easily.
