May you change this one dollar bill into a one hundred?... Sure we all have often heard this! To change the value of the bills is an often request of the spectators. Perhaps that's why Patrick Page created, time ago, the first version of his trick "Papers changed into bills". Since then many other versions of the trick were created, but all of them require a gimmick, and not ALL the bills may be examined. Now, Juan Pablo and Bazar de Magia created "Money Money". With his version you may transform five one dollar bills, that the spectator gives you, into five one hundred dollar bills!!! Which the spectator may examine and you may offer to him!!! No Gimmicks. An exploration of what is humanly possible. A separation of the living and the dead.

A chance for your spectators to experience something they have not nor will ever experience again.

At 8PM 10 people sat down to dinner, by 10PM 8 of them were dead.

Each guest murdered by two sadistic serial killers in one of the most disturbing cases of cannibalism ever reported.

As you explain this horrific story, an envelope is handed to your spectator to hold. Next, 10 photos are introduced. It is explained that the killers are lost amongst the victims and it is down to your spectator to separate the living from the dead. 5 photos are handed to your spectator and 5 are kept by the performer. The spectator is instructed to hold the photos behind their back and slide one photo from the top to the bottom. They must keep doing this until they get a feeling, whatever feeling that may be.

Once they are satisfied, they are to remove the top photo and hold it behind their back being sure never to let go of it. The performer does the exact same behind his back. The remaining photos are exchanged between the performer and spectator. She is then instructed to place her photo in so that it is faced the opposite way to the other pictures and to mix them. Again, the performer also does this. Both stacks of photos are brought out and both the performer and spectator have one single photo turned, sight unseen the other way.

The envelope is brought back into play and the spectator tips out what is inside. Two photos that of a man and a woman. The killers. And although the spectator did not let go of their selection for a single second, and they have an undeniable account of what has happened, they slide their selection from their stack of photos and reveal it to be the same killer found in the envelope. The performer then does the same and is found to have selected the second killer.

But if all of this is true, then we would need evidence that those in the envelope really were the killers. At this time, the photos from the envelope are turned over to reveal the words KILLER scratched in blood red on the back of them. And every other photo? They have DEAD etched in blood on the back of them. Everything is examinable and the reset is instant.

That is it's job. To swing in a direction...
Having heard some performers trying their hand at the pendulum while forcefully instructing the sitter to "keep the pendulum PERFECTLY S T I L L..." and then try to get movement to happen...
Some things just don't make sense.
Pablo's thoughts are to have fun and get sitters excited about the Pendulum and it's job... Which way it will move in their hands.
In THEIR hands.
They can do it because they have a great imagination!
Pablo's thoughts are inspiring and I'd put money this work become the treatise on pendulums.

There's a lot of talk by performers and would-be performers about how they value propless mentalism and mind-reading.
90% of it is pure laziness: it's tough to perfect sleights, it's a pain to create gimmicks, and it's hard work to reset stuff.
Many of you will be tempted by the apparent ease of Pendulum work and the claims of Real Magick.
Do NOT be fooled!
To say that the Pendulum is hard wouldn't be fair, but I think many people will underestimate the work that Pablo has put in on this invaluable tool. And if you want the results that those who love and use the pendulum get, it will require some commitment on your part. Nothing onerous... but like all great mentalism it requires an audience and performance... but unlike most mentalism, you will also be able to use it as a tool to get inside your own mind and productively tinker.
If you're familiar with George Anderson's, Jerome Finley's, Richard Webster's or Bill Cushman's work on the Pendulum, I promise that you will find inspiration here that will make it worth the investment of your time and money.

You receive two markers: a normal one that can be used to sign cards and bills and anything else during your show. The custom-made prop you receive works like a bill tube. You can load it from your back pocket, breast pocket, or simply from the waistband of your pants. No jacket is required. Nicholas performs the routine in conjunction with a classic bill switch, but this is completely optional. You can do this effect as a stand-alone piece, or use it with any bill trick you already do. The reset takes only a few seconds.

We DO suggest you use this trick as a closing piece. It's extremely powerful, and it is meant as a closer.

Alain Nu, “The Man Who Knows”, has performed all over the world, headlined at casinos in Las Vegas, amazed people on cruise ships, given talks and demonstrations for leading scientists, staged his own program at the Internatonal Spy Museum in Washington DC, entitled The ESP in Espionage, predicted the Academy Awards on Las Vegas TV, and has even starred in his own four-part network television mini-series for TLC called, The Mysterious World of Alain Nu (2005).

Based out of both Washington, DC, and Las Vegas, he is also known among his peers as an avid researcher, creator, explorer, and author of his findings. Some of his creative work as an early mentalist can be found scattered in old lost periodicals and hard-to-find magic-trade publications. Nu has since spent more of his recent years focusing his career towards that of being a performer and public figure, headlining at theaters and clubs. He is also the author of Picture Your ESP! (2010), and State of Mind (2015).

Who is he?
Mark James is a comedy magician based in the UK. He has worked professionally for over a decade on land and at sea in over 40 countries worldwide. He first became known to magicians in 2009 following the release of his critically acclaimed DVD set ‘Supercharged Classics’. Prior to its release, Mark was a full time member of the JB Magic team under Mark Mason and held down three restaurant residencies per week.

This was soon followed up by an appearance alongside his friend and mentor Wayne Dobson in 2011 on ‘A Life In Magic’. Sometime in mid 2010, Mark was approached by Wayne to feature on a DVD that would showcase some of his finest stage and close-up routines, but all presented in a close up environment. Mark considered this opportunity a huge honour and was delighted to be working alongside Matthew Dowden & Michael J. Fitch.

It was around this time that Mark started really getting into his stride with lectures. He has since given over 80 lectures to magic societies and conventions in the UK and overseas. Highlights included the Cyprus Magic Society and The UK’s annual IBM convention.

Throughout all of this, Mark’s true passion has been performing on stage. Since leaving JB Magic, he has all but given up performing close up magic shows in order to perform stage and cabaret magic all over the world. A typical week sees him on stage at least 5 out of 7 nights, touring for holiday companies or flying out to cruise ships.

He now has a cabaret show of which he is incredibly proud. Having tried out every discipline or genre of magic he could get his hands on, he’s settled into a show that features a mix of comedy, magic and even juggling. In the search for the show that fits him best, he spent time performing mentalism, manipulation, kids magic and a whole host of other styles and ideas. It is from this experience he draws much of his lecture material.

Thanks to multiple performances in trailers for a host of magic producers, worldwide lectures, convention appearances and a non stop live performance diary, Mark has remained prominent in the UK magic scene, most recently appearing on the cover of MAGICSEEN magazine.

Going Postal by Rick Lax

Use ANY deck. The PERFECT trick to open your card set. Here’s how it looks:

You write down a PREDICTION on a POST-IT PAD and set it aside. You take out a deck of cards. The spectator deals down to a random card. You turn the Post-It pad over…and YOUR PREDICTION HAS VANISHED.

But not entirely…

When the spectator FLIPS UP the card she dealt to, the note is now STUCK TO THE CARD!

And, yes, that’s the only card with a note on it. ;)

DETAILS: No palming, ditching or loading. No difficult sleight-of-hand. When you’re done, you can peel to note off the card and GO RIGHT INTO WHATEVER TRICK YOU WANT.

Mindreading for the Masses by Devin Knight

This PDF reveals some of Jason Michaels top media psychic stunts. This is updated information and most of this has not appeared in print before.

THE SEALED FOIL TEST: Here is a real reputation maker and it was one of Jason's favorite effects. 100% hands off and sight unseen. This can be done on a local radio talk show or used during your next magic show. Call the host of the radio show at home or the VIP who booked your magic show. Have your over the phone participant select a card from his own shuffled deck. He does not write down the name of the card and makes sure he does it out of sight of any family members. He is instructed to seal his card inside a piece of aluminum foil or an opaque envelope and to tell NO ONE the name of the card sealed inside.

He brings the sealed card to the show and believe it or not you correctly divine the name of the card sealed in the foil, without touching the foil and with no fishing of any kind. This will fool well-versed magicians as it appears impossible. No clipboards, stooges or instant stooges. You really reveal the name of a card sealed in foil that you never touched and was done at the VIP's home. Baffling beyond words. The complete updated secret as used by Jason Michaels at the top of his career, revealed step by step.

THE RADIO CARD REVEAL: This is an entirely different method than the one revealed in the NTE Principle. Jason alternated both methods, so if listeners in a nearby city heard him on the radio again, the effect would be different. Thousands of listeners selected a card at home using their own deck. Jason then uses the stations call letter to locate the cards. He then starts naming the cards that people have selected at home. People are invited to call the station if Jason found their card and the switchboards light up. This is an easy way to get booked on local radio shows.

This can be done as party effect, having all the guest select cards and you find them all without touching the cards. Again, this is a different method than the one explained in NTE Principle.

THE TV PSYCHIC TEST: This was featured by Jason Michaels and his secret appears in print for the first time. This is suitable only for TV shows and Jason performed this on hundreds of local TV talk shows. When you tell the producer what you will do, he will want you to be on the show.

The mentalist goes on the show and says he has special psychic connection with his wife or girlfriend. He shuffles a deck of cards and places them face-down on the table. The mentalist turns away and has the host remove any card from the deck and not show it to the camera. It's a free choice and no force of any kind is used. The performer does not touch the deck during the effect. 100% hands off in the selection. The host concentrates on his card. The mentalist says he will try to read the host's mind and project the name of his card to his wife or girlfriend. Still keeping the card a secret, the host calls the wife and girlfriend and she correctly names the card he selected, which is then shown to the audience. 100% surefire and no MARKED CARDS are used. The wife or girlfriend can be across town. There are no secret accomplices at the TV station. A one-man effect except for your wife or girlfriend the host calls. This is along the lines of Dunninger's brain busters, except there is NO PRESHOW work. This is done live in real time and is one of the most baffling test ever conceived for TV. First time in print. Designed to be performed for a group of people, this is a multi-phase card routine that causes absolute pandemonium. The audience reaction is priceless! In my experience there is nothing that can follow Limelight either in terms of mystery or laughter.

A female spectator is quietly given a very simple instruction that enables her to perform incredible card magic.

She repeatedly finds selected cards, names selected cards and eventually performs an ACAAN with a free choice of number where the performer never touches the deck at all.

Any deck can be used and there is almost zero sleight-of hand for the performer to worry about and even less for the woman. If she can hold a deck, she's good to go.

And the best thing is that the woman doesn't have a clue how she is accomplishing any of the effects. If she is quizzed afterwards, the most she will be able to say is that she was doing 'something', but neither she nor the other spectators would have any clue how that was related to the effects she accomplished.

In my experience the woman absolutely relishes playing up her role as the star, and refuses all questions about what she was doing, because she loves being the center of attention!

An impossible prediction effect!

The classic mentalism effect is now available as a video download!
A clear wine glass is seen on a table center stage, containing a black envelope with a prediction. The spectators are asked to concentrate on a single thought and to write it down on a card and seal it in an opaque envelope. At your command, they all throw their envelopes onto the stage. A random spectator selects any one of the envelopes (again: NO force!). Let's assume the thought inside reads "ICE CREAM". She removes the prediction from the glass and opens it. She reads the prediction out loud: it matches the freely selected thought!

Now for the FINAL kicker: the lady is asked to open up the crumpled paper ball that was used to randomly select her as a volunteer. It reads: "Tonight, a beautiful lady called Annie will think of ICE CREAM!"

Who is he?
Michel Huot is Montreal’s busiest corporate magician.  He has been doing corporate magic for the past 20 years.  He did not received a magic kit when he was 6.  He started at age 23, years after seeing a magician at an event.  Michel was dealing with personal issues at the time (the death of his mother and father) and realized that time stopped while he was being entertained by the magician.  He did not think about his parents for the 10 minutes the magician was there.  For him, THAT was the magic.  The next day Michel had bought a copy of Mark Wilson’s course in Magic.

He then created a Siamese twin act with a friend that won them the People’s Choice award in a magic contest in Montreal in 1998.  He presented that act at FFFF in 1999 and has been invited back ever since.  He also two other FFFF favorites - The Human Deck of Cards (with Yannick Lacroix) and UPSIDE/DOWN (with Patrice Meunier and Yannick Lacroix). The 2 acts received well deserved standing ovations.

His creations appeared in MAGIC, GENII, David Acer’s Natural Selections II, MONEY (John Lovick), Mentalism for Kids (Paul Rohmany), The Magic Menu (Jim Sisti) and so on.

He performed at more than 20 shows at Montreal’s prestigious JUST FOR LAUGHS comedy festival, and is a regular invitee at the COMEDY NEST (now owned by David Acer) in Montreal.

Michel also co-organizes an international magic festival in Algeria for the past 5 years.  Some of the guests were David Sousa, Soma Jordan Gomez, George Saterial, Leon Etienne, and Ouka.

But above all that, Michel loves to come back to his corporate gigs where he entertains people and, for an instant, he makes time stop!

Your spectator selects any card from a normal deck, signs name on the card and put it in the middle of the deck. You shuffle and take a card out from the deck, it's not spectator's card. You fold and hold it on your hand. With a shake of the hand, the card visually changes to the spectator's signed card.

Framework by Tom Frame - Book

So, what is Framework and why should you care?

Well, the book is a collection of 34 of Tom's best card effects, created from 1978 to 2011. It's a 7" x 10" hard-back book with a full color dust jacket. It's 294 pages long, with 238 photographs.

Jon Racherbaumer wrote the Foreword.
Each copy includes custom gaffs for "Son of Hyper-Warp."
The methods require an intermediate level of technical ability.
All of the effects include scripted presentations.
With the exception of one item, all of the effects have previously appeared in print.
Several items appeared in various magazines.
Tom resurrected five effects from Framed! because they deserve better treatment than they received in that the homely, obnoxious tome.
From his lecture notes, he included all of the effects from Scary Hotels and Sinister Ministrations and all but one effect from Covert Operations.
He snatched one of his very best effects from The Hypercard Project.
