Sight Unseen Revelations by Devin Knight

From the lost files of Jason Michaels comes one of the most devious and baffling psychic card routines every invented!

It is a four-phase routine in which you locate selected cards SIGHT UNSEEN. It was one of the most talked about feats of Jason Michaels and even fooled the skeptics. This appears in print for the first time.

Jason never liked using blindfolds except for blindfolded drives and even then he put newspaper over the windshield. The reason for this is that no matter how clever or deceptive a blindfold is, there are always people who still think somehow you can see through it. Jason developed a blindfold routine, not using a blindfold. He invited a lady to come forward from the audience and cover his closed eyes with her hands. Try it yourself. Seeing is impossible.

Under these conditions he developed a multi-phase card revelation routine that was done using genuinely shuffled decks, while the lady had her hands over his eyes. Now hear this, there are NO STACKS of any kind. The effects below are accurately described. This is exactly what happens in the real performance.

Effect 1: The performer's eyes are covered by the lady's hands and a spectator freely selects a card from a deck. There is no force of any kind. He returns the card to the deck and genuinely shuffles the cards BEFORE handing the deck back to the performer. Finding the card would seem impossible, especially since the performer cannot see (he really can't). In a matter of seconds while the lady still has his eyes covered, he correctly locates the card. Baffling beyond words.

Effect 2: A second spectator selects a card from a deck in his own hands and buries it into the deck and hands the deck to the performer. Again there was no force of any kind. The performer puts the deck into his jacket pocket for a few seconds and removes it and gives it back to the spectator. Remember, the performer still cannot see. The spectator is asked to look through the deck for his freely selected card; it has vanished from the deck. He reaches into the performer's side pocket and there is his card. There are no duplicate cards and the selected card could be signed! Nothing else is in the pocket but the selected card.

EFFECT 3: Both spectators shuffle the deck and give it back to you. You spread the cards and have one selected and returned. You give the deck a few cuts and turn it face up and hand the face card to the spectator. It is his card. Positively no sleight of hand card control. No double cuts or breaks.

EFFECT 4: The strongest phase of all. This time, both spectators select a card, while your eyes are still covered and returns them to the deck. You riffle the cards and ask the lady to tell you when to stop. She does so and you turn that card face up and say you will use it to locate the other two spectator's cards. Leaving the card face up you cut it into the deck and cut the deck several times and hand it to one of the spectators. He spreads until he comes to the face up card and removes the cards on both sides of it. Believe it or not, these are the two selected cards. Positively no sleight of hand required to do this location, it is almost self-working.

FINALE: While your eyes are still covered, you ask the lady to concentrate on her card. Believe it or not, you name her card. It seems impossible that you could do this since the cards have been repeatedly shuffled by the spectators and keeping track of any card would seem impossible.

Remember the lady keeps her fingers over your eyes from start to finish. She never removes them anytime during the routine allowing you to get a peek at anything. This is why the routine is so baffling. Also the cards are genuinely shuffled by the spectators between each phase. This is why the routine seems so impossible, but is exactly as described.

These are all one man-effects that require no secret assistants or codes.

Who is he?
In a nutshell, Jeff Stone is: Magician, Programmer, Rubik’s Cuber.

He became interested in magic as little kid (5 or 6 years old) and has been obsessed with it pretty much his whole life.

He spent years as a children's show magician and also spent years performing close-up and stand-up magic. He also served in the U.S. Navy on board a fast attack submarine where he spent countless hours practicing and performing.

Opus (Mona Lisa) by Nefesch

The value of a coincidence depends on its degree of improbability!

A demonstration of intuition and impossible coincidences.

OPUS is a straight forward close up effect, where you will give to your spectator a visual proof of an impossible coincidence.

Four black backed cards are introduced, these cards are given to a spectator who is instructed to mix them freely without looking at the face of the cards; this gives him the chance to put those cards in any order out of 24 possibilities. (4!)

The spectator is now asked to decide the orientation of each card; having the chance to either turn some cards 180 degrees or not; he has now 16 more possibilities!

The spectator is now invited to freely select the position in which those cards are to be placed on the table to form a square; he is given more options and possibilities.

After all the decisions that the spectator has freely taken; and all the possibilities given; now it is time to turn the cards over.

When the black cards are turned over, the spectator realizes that out of all the possibilities that he had; he ended up with the only possibility that makes the 4 pieces shape perfectly the Mona Lisa puzzle that was printed on the face of the cards.

OPUS is also a PREDICTION effect.

Matrix 2.0 by Mickael Chatelain

Show your audience a playing card, explaining that it's your favorite. Pass it out for examination. They'll find that the card is perfectly ordinary, except for four holes, one in each corner. Tell your spectators not to blink even for an instant or they'll miss the miracle to follow. Hold the card between thumb and forefinger, fully visible for all to see. Without moving - yes, you read that right - without the slightest movement, one of the four hole MOVES in PLAIN SIGHT! You've got to see it to believe it. The hole seems to cross the card diagonally in a fraction of a second.

Illusion? Reality? Wave your hand behind the card to prove that the holes are NOT an illusion! They are REAL! Do it again, holding the card as before. But if you combine them, along with the SECRET of this trick, you’ll have a giant, crowd-pleasing miracle (actually it’s TWO illusions AT THE EXACT SAME MOMENT) that you can carry with you wherever you go.

The story starts here: Some of my magic friends here in Vegas and LA carry confetti with them wherever they go. They just use it for jokes…but that got us thinking…what if the confetti WAS the magic? That little thought led Daryl and Darryl to THIS BIG RELEASE:

Confetti Card:

Your friend picks a card. You give her the deck and she puts it back inside. SHE’S HOLDING THE CARDS. Then, WITH EMPTY HANDS, you reach into your pockets…and pull out a single card (they see the back and the face) and a handful of confetti. You reveal the card with a BURST OF PAPER!

Problem is: You’re wrong. That’s not her card.

BUT…just when it looks like all is lost…you cleanly fold up the wrong card, toss it in the air…and it TRANSFORMS INTO A CONFETTI VERSION OF THE CHOSEN CARD.

(Take a second and think about how magical that is…not only did the card transform into confetti…also…the wrong card transformed into the right card, which, just a moment ago, was inside the deck.)

Sometimes the card pieces land face-up and the change is IMMEDIATELY visible. OTHER times—and this just as good IF NOT BETTER—the pieces land face-down…so you can EXTEND the magic moment, even further, by asking your friend to slowly bend down and turn the pieces around.

Either way, the result is the same: Shock and awe.

Easily repeatable. No fancy props needed.

If you’re performing somewhere where you have to clean up, you can do it with bigger confetti and card pieces. Or you can use tiny pieces for those rare moments when it’s okay to leave a big mess and a big impact. The trick works perfectly either way. It’s the perfect way to leave a BIG impact….with just some cards and some paper.
