Welcome to the Butterfly Ring presented by barbumagic. In this project you will learn several advanced ring magic effects using bouth gimmicked and impromptu techniques.

Impromptu:
Push - Pull Sequence – ring through finger goes to the next level. This sequence consists of these following moves:
PUSH (reverse of Patrick Kun’s Reflex - ring through finger), PULL, CLOSED PUSH, TRANSFER.
TELEPORT – with a wave of the hand, the ring looks like it teleports from a finger to another.
MELT – the ring looks like it melts through the finger, under the cover of the hand.
SLINKY Vanish – very visual retention vanish.
LIFESAVER Vanish – dirty method for a superclean vanish.

Gimmicked:
BALANCE – clean, angleproof balance of a ring on the finger; you can turn your hand also horizontally, the ring looking like it’s stuck to the tip of the finger.
FLOAT – interesting float of a ring, that can be used also as a balance of the ring on a finger and then you can transfer the ring to another finger from the other hand.
OTT Vanish/Change – ring vanishes with a wave of the hand; the ring can also reappear with another wave of the hand.
UG Vanish/Change – you display a ring in the middle of the hand, you close your fingers around it and when you open your hand, the ring is gone.
CATCH - inspired by Garrett Thomas-"The Ring Thing", but using a different method.
BR THROUGH WINDOW – a visual, straightforward illusion of throwing a ring through glass.
BR THROUGH GLASS + variation – one of the most visual object through glass effects.
BR THROUGH TABLE + variation – ring can go, down or up, through a glass table.

Prediction of a thought of queen, with a three phase revelation.

You bring out four cards and ask your spectator to name any queen. You then cleanly spread those four cards on the table. The only face up card is the chosen queen. Then you turn it over and it's back is a different color than from the rest of the cards. As further proof that you already knew queen they would say, you turn over the rest of the cards and they are all completely blank.

Can we or can we not influence things, events, or decisions?
After participating in this demonstration, your spectators will no doubt have their answer...

A red-backed card is placed face down in the middle of the table. A spectator will be invited to turn over the card at the end of your demonstration. You will not touch the card again.
Now take out a blue-backed deck, show it back and front. It's a regular deck in which all the cards are different.
Give it to the spectators to shuffle, cut and examine freely.

At this stage, point out that it is absolutely impossible to know the order of the cards since the deck has been passed from spectator to spectator, each of whom gave the deck a shuffle.

Explain that you are not going to manipulate the cards and that the order of the cards will stay as dictated by chance. To avoid any and all manipulation, the entire deck is immediately replaced in its case.

As things now stand, no one, not even you, knows the order of the cards.

Hold the deck and its case at the tips of the fingers and take out the cards one by one in order. Whenever he likes, a spectator tells you, "STOP!"

As soon as everything is set, you begin:

Take the first card out at the tips of the fingers, then the second, etc...

As slowly as possible the cards are removed from the case. At any time the spectator tells you, "STOP!"

As with the others, the card is removed. It's the Queen of Spades, for example.

Take out a few more cards to show that one second later, the card would have been completely different. But fate determined that the spectator would stop on the Queen of Spades. Take the rest of the deck and show it. No duplicates, no other Queens of Spades!

If the prediction card in view since the beginning is identical to the card you have just removed from the deck, let's admit that we're witnessing a veritable miracle since:

- No manipulation was possible
- The deck is ordinary and shuffled by the spectators
- The spectator said STOP whenever he wished
- We said MIRACLE, didn't we?


Invite the spectator to turn over the prediction card himself.

Incredible! The word doesn't do justice, as in fact, the prediction card is the Queen of Spades! How is this possible?

* The spectator shuffles the deck himself!

But what if I don't see my currency in the list?
The coin comes in US Quarter, UK 10p & 50cent Euro coins. Don't worry, Geraint's bonus section teaches you a presentation to non-suspiciously perform this with ANY of the 3 gaffs, in any country.

Do I need anything else?
No. Everything you need to perform this effect is shipped to you in 2 self contained gaffs.

Does this mean I need to carry 2 new gaffs with me?
Absolutely not. Based on your chosen presentation, you can just carry one.

Can it break?
