While there are many methods out in the world for tearing a playing card and restoring it, finding the one that worked best for me was difficult. There were too many complicated and/or unnecessary sleights, or the gimmicks were unreliable and hard to build. Add to that the fact that most were quarter-by-quarter restorations; there were very few effects where removing and replacing a single corner was the main focus.
I have been performing and refining IMPERFECT for the last eight years, making it as powerful as I possibly can. Here are some of the benefits:
-NO gimmicks
-NO forcing a card
-NO knuckle-busting sleights
-NO switches
-NO extra cards or pieces to palm
Bonus Handling: Place the torn corner in the SPECTATOR'S hand and watch as THEY cause it to vanish from their very own fingers before you restore it!
NOTE: Everything is as fair and open as it should be. Don't let the trailer fool you - simple though the effect may be in handling, it's often the psychology that makes a difference and in the case of IMPERFECT the reactions are (and have been) incredible! This effect is obviously NOT a magician-fooler, but it is NOT meant to be. It was created with the layperson in mind.
